Safer spreadsheet openingFormula-like cells can be prefixed with an apostrophe to reduce spreadsheet-injection risk. Ordinary signed numbers and recognisable telephone numbers are left alone. Always spot-check the cleaned file.
What it accepts
One UTF-8 CSV file up to 5 MB, 10,000 rows and 250 columns.
Important limits
- The first row is treated as column headings.
- Complex files using unusual encodings or separators other than commas may need Excel or specialist software.
- Formula-like cells are prefixed with an apostrophe when the protection option is switched on; you can turn it off for systems that require untouched values.
